Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking your Kilimanjaro trek or Tanzania safari

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once a deposit has been received and a written confirmation has been issued by Kili Sky Trekking and Safaris. All bookings are subject to availability.

Payments

A deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the start of the tour, as communicated in your booking agreement.

Accepted payment methods will be specified in your invoice.
All bank transfer or transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

Failure to complete payment within the required timeframe may result in cancellation of your booking.

Cancellations & Refunds

Client Cancellations

All cancellations must be made in writing.

Refunds are calculated based on the date the written cancellation is received and according to the cancellation policy provided in your booking agreement.

Non-refundable costs may include:

  • National park fees

  • Government taxes

  • Permit fees

  • Hotel bookings already secured

  • Transport and logistics arrangements already paid

No-Show

Failure to arrive on the agreed start date without prior notice will be treated as a cancellation with no refund.

Changes to Bookings

Client-Initiated Changes

Changes to travel dates or itineraries are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.

Company-Initiated Changes

Kili Sky Trekking and Safaris reserves the right to make reasonable itinerary changes due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Park authority regulations

  • Safety considerations

  • Operational requirements

Any significant changes will be communicated promptly.

Force Majeure

Kili Sky Trekking and Safaris is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Extreme weather

  • Natural disasters

  • Political unrest

  • Flight delays or cancellations

  • Government restrictions

  • Park closures

In such cases, alternative arrangements will be offered where possible, but refunds cannot be guaranteed.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Holding a valid passport and required visas

  • Obtaining comprehensive travel and medical insurance (mandatory)

  • Ensuring they are medically and physically fit for high-altitude trekking

  • Following all safety instructions given by guides and staff

  • Disclosing any medical conditions that may affect participation

Failure to comply with safety guidelines may result in removal from the trek or safari without refund.

Health & Safety

Your safety is our highest priority. Our mountain teams are trained in high-altitude procedures and carry essential safety equipment.

However, Kilimanjaro trekking and wildlife safaris involve inherent risks, including:

  • Altitude sickness

  • Challenging terrain

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Remote travel conditions

By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Kili Sky Trekking and Safaris reserves the right to make decisions in the interest of client safety, including terminating a trek if continuation is deemed unsafe.

Travel Insurance (Mandatory)

All clients must have valid travel insurance covering:

  • High-altitude trekking (up to 6,000 meters)

  • Emergency evacuation

  • Medical expenses

  • Trip cancellation

Proof of insurance may be requested prior to the start of the tour.

Limitation of Liability

Kili Sky Trekking and Safaris acts as a tour operator and is not liable for:

  • Loss, damage, or delay of personal belongings

  • Injuries, illness, or accidents beyond our reasonable control

  • Acts or omissions of third-party service providers such as airlines, hotels, or transport companies

Our liability is limited to the total cost of the booked tour

Accommodation & Transport

Accommodation and transport are provided as per the confirmed itinerary.
In rare cases, alternative arrangements of similar standard may be used due to availability or operational reasons.

Complaints Procedure

Any concerns must be reported immediately to your guide or our office so they can be addressed promptly.

Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the end of the tour.

Photography & Media

Kili Sky Trekking and Safaris may use photos or videos taken during tours for promotional purposes unless a client requests otherwise in writing.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
